Change to Route for Ben McKenna & Jim “Jazzer” Wherity
Memorial Cycle Races 30th March 2014

Due to structural damage to the bridge on Streamstown Road and the consequent road closure, for at least six months, it is necessary to modify the course for the above Road Races. The loop, which involved turning right at the Nevitt crossroads, through Tooman, past McNally Joinery, to Walshestown and then turning left towards Balgee crossroads to again turn left to the finish at Hollywood Great, has been removed.

The accompanying Map shows the new route from the Five Roads going straight through the Nevitt crossroads to Hollywood and the Nags Head. The route covers a distance of 19.3 km.

The Races will still start and finish outside the Murphy Environmental Quarry at Hollywood Great. The Race Headquarters and Parking remain at the Ring Commons Sports Centre.
